General Plan And SpongeBob Tuesday**(Amended)

FAMILY TIME ON CITY HALL LAWN
A little reminder for you...  Last week, HERE, I wrote about the General Plan Visioning meeting that will be held Tuesday, July 23rd on the City Hall Lawn from 7:00 - 8:00 with a showing of the SpongeBob SquarePants Movie to immediately follow the meeting on an inflatable screen.  Children will be entertained by making cardboard cars from which they may watch the movie.
FUN, FOOD AND A MOVIE
This is a VERY important event.  It gives parents a chance to provide input on the General Plan - an opportunity that only comes around every 10 years.  Refreshments will be available, per the flyer below.  Just click on it to enlarge.
HEAR WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT
If you're not sure about the General Plan, click HERE to view a short video clip by Development Services Director Gary Armstrong that explains the importance of community input in this process.

**And, HERE is a list of Frequently Asked Questions about the General Plan that will be helpful, too.

Change in plans- The SpongeBob movie won't be shown. It's been replaced by a documentary shot right here in Costa Mesa that includes themes from several other well known films. It's called "City Money Sponge-Jim, Liar Liar Pants on Fire."
Enjoy!

Do you still have to register? Because that's illegal for the city to make people register for a public meeting.

If the burger is paid with our taxes, I'll pass. Thanks.

No burgers... only free corndogs provided by Sonic, while they last. No, you don't have to register, only let the staff know you're coming so they can TRY to have enough grub available. Come on down! ;-)

I commend the outreach. It seems city staff has really gone all out to get people involved.
